Business Development Representative

St. Louis Area

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential clients.

Reporting to the Business Development Supervisor, the BDR will actively qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities through cold calling and email campaigns. This position will work closely with the sales and marketing departments.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound cold calling campaigns, 60 – 80 calls per day.
  • Manage open Campaigns/Sequences via email, task and call completion.
  • Manage upsells of new/additional products to existing and prospective customer, including: demonstrations, handling of FAQ’s and coordinating the sales process with our partner’s sales teams.
  • Contact and qualify in-bound leads, complete needs assessment and scheduling Demo’s for sales consultants.
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Report to the Business Development Supervisor on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma is required, bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience working in sales or customer service-related role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with HubSpot preferred.
  • Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow and excel in their role.
