Data Analyst

St. Louis Area

The Data Analyst is responsible for conducting full life cycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. The data analyst will develop analysis and reporting capabilities as well as monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

Reporting to the Director of Application Development, the Data Analyst will develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. This role will acquire data from primary and secondary data sources and maintain databases.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage multiple, variable tasks and data review processes, as well as mass data entry, maintenance, and update projects.
  • Complete data audits and evaluations within core systems.
  • Identify and resolve complex issues, including mass change updates, reconciliation projects, and the operationalization of data from various sources.
  • Analyze and advise management of workflow issues and data integrity problems and offer recommendations on resolution.
  • Develop and submit internal and external status reports.
  • Create report and data reconciliation through Access, Excel, Business Objects and other reporting tools.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of data analysis experience and using relational databases.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of basic T-SQL experience including writing queries and utilizing SELECT, INSERT and UPDATE statements.
  • Intermediate knowledge of EXCEL – or similar tool – with experience creating formulas to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Experience using a reporting tool (Crystal, SSRS, etc…) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail.
